NO Matthew Pavlich, no Aaron Sandilands, no Nathan Fyfe, no Stephen Hill, no Kepler Bradley - no problem.
An undermanned Fremantle strangeld the life out of a disappointing Gold Coast tonight to record a gritty - not pretty - 45 point victory at Metricon Stadium.
This was a danger game for the injury-ravaged Dockers. It is the longest road trip in the competition and the Suns were up and about after a comprehensive win over GWS last weekend.
The home side was more than just a sneaky chance.
But Fremantle got on top early and kept the Suns at an arm's length all night with Michael Walters (four goals) and Jonathon Griffin (three goals) along with defenders Garrick Ibbotson (22 disposals), Luke McPharlin (20 disposals, 10 marks) and Paul Duffield to the fore for the visitors in a match that failed to reach any great heights.
David Mundy was also good for the visitors with 22 touches, seven clearances and six inside 50s.
Despite the scoreboard indicating the Gold Coast was in the contest for a long period, in reality, the match was over by quarter-time.
The Dockers led by 19 points at the first break as the sloppy and ill-disciplined Suns lacked structure and accountability.
Fremantle were allowed to have an extra man back in defence and they kept the Suns goalless.
The freshly spread fertilizer on the stadium garden beds was not the only thing that smelled as the Gold Coast was indecisive, inaccurate and guilty of turning the ball over far too often for an AFL team.
The homeside's first goal came midway through the second quarter after a 50 metre penalty against Lee Spurr for a late hit on Karmichael Hunt.
Fremantle lacked the firepower to take full advantage of the inept Suns effort but still managed to take a 24-point buffer into the main break in front of a poor crowd of 10,552.
The Gold Coast showed some signs of life and intent in the third term with goals to Hunt and Jarrod Harbrow but the Dockers always responded with interest.
Fremantle led by 28 points at the last change and both teams went through the motions in the last quarter before the fulltime siren mercifully sounded.
Ryan Crowley and Gary Ablett had a ding-dong battle. The Dockers tagger kept Ablett to four disposals in the first quarter but the Suns skipper responded with 11 touches and a goal in the second term.
Ablett finished with 28 touches.
To rub salt into the wound for the home side, ruckman/forward Charlie Dixon was subbed out of the match in the third quarter with an ankle injury.
