PORT Adelaide's faith in injury-cursed forward-midfielder Robbie Gray this season is highlighted by his elevation to the Power's new leadership group.

Gray today joined the six-man leadership group that has a new captain, Travis Boak (replacing Dom Cassisi), and a new vice-captain, Brad Ebert.

Jay Schulz, Hamish Hartlett and Jackson Trengove remain in the leadership panel.

New Port coach Ken Hinkley has described the make-up of his on-field leaders as well balanced.

"We have a key forward (Schulz), a key back (Trengove), and a spread of midfielders in the group which will ensure leadership across every line on the field," said Hinkley.
