ADELAIDE Crows chief executive Steven Trigg is considering increasing the amount of paid work he does for club sponsor Rivergum Homes during his six-month ban from the AFL.

Trigg, who is the chairman of Rivergum's Strategic Advisory Board, has discussed increasing his involvement with the home builder.

The Advertiser understands this could involve working as a consultant.

Trigg begins a six-month suspension for his role in the Kurt Tippett contract saga on January 1.

"I'm the chairman of the Rivergum Strategic Advisory Board and one of the things that is possible is for me to spend a fraction more time in that role but as for consultancy or structure, (it's) absolutely yet to be determined," he said.

"If you're trying to make something out of that I'm just going to jump out and do another job, that's not right. I still haven't planned what that six months looks like."

Trigg, who has also been fined $50,000 by the AFL, has spoken of a desire to take an overseas fact-finding mission to international sporting clubs during his enforced absence.

But it appears those plans and any others he has, are yet to be settled.

"At the moment I'm very much trying to get ready for a handover and prepare what I need to prepare at work," Trigg said.

"And in the New Year I'll be contemplating how that six months is properly planned.

"It may include investing a little more time into that (Rivergum) role.

"But it's not yet to be determined. It depends on what I do and how much I do and as I've said, it's yet to be determined.

"I've got a very long list of things I want to do beyond a short rest. There's a long list and I'm yet to knock it into shape and prioritise it."

Rivergum Homes has been a key corporate partner of the Adelaide Football Club for the past 11 years. Its involvement included building a house at Black Point on Yorke Peninsula that the club auctioned off in 2010 to provide funds for its junior development program.

Rivergum Homes managing director Victor Said could not be reached for comment yesterday.

AFL spokesman Patrick Keane said there were no restrictions on Trigg earning money outside of the AFL during his suspension.
