FREMANTLE forward Hayden Ballantyne makes no apologies for his niggling style and plans to ruffle a few Hawks feathers at Aurora Stadium on Saturday.
Ballantyne, widely regarded as one of the best antagonists in footy, was rated the second-most hated player behind St Kilda's Stephen Milne in the 2012 Herald Sun Footy Fans Survey.
The 25-year-old said it was a fine line between being a pest and landing himself in hot water.
"Other people's opinions don't faze me really. As long as the captain and the coach are happy with the way I'm going, nothing else really fazes me,'' Ballantyne said.
"I'm not out there to make friends, I'm out there to win footy.
"That's how I go about it.
"I think I'm up and about on the footy field, if other people don't like it, it's not my fault.
"It is just the way I play, I'm out there playing the game I love and having a bit of fun doing it.
"Whatever happens, happens. As long as I keep it fair and don't do anything undisciplined and get suspended or give away free kicks.
"It is a fine line and I try and stay on the right side.''

Hawthorn has beaten Fremantle in their six matches at Launceston and the past two encounters have been particularly one-sided, with the Hawks belting Freo by 116 points in 2010 when the visitors rested a host of walk-up starters and inflicting a 56-point hammering last season on the back of a blistering second quarter.
Ballantyne refused to look at the past, and is confident if the Dockers bring their trademark defensive pressure they can stun the high-flying Hawks.
"No it hasn't been [a ground with good memories] but a couple of years ago they were saying Melbourne wasn't a good hunting ground for us too and we won a fair few games there last year.
"We are all about winning any where, any time so that is exactly what we are going down there to do.
"We hope to win all our games at Patersons Stadium and ones on the road are real important, it is a test of character for the team.
"This is the biggest test we have, going to Tassie.
"As always we will be very defensively minded and when we get our chance to attack we need to pin the ears back and go for it.''
