The race to replace Kurt Tippett at the Adelaide goalfront appears to have become a two-way war between Josh Jenkins and Shaun McKernan after former Saint Tom Lynch was dropped from the Crows NAB Cup team to play Carlton at AAMI Stadium tomorrow night.

Lynch was one of two players omitted from the Adelaide side which was embarrassingly crushed by 10 goals by Geelong last week, along with midfielder Aidan Riley.
Named by coach Brenton Sanderson at the start of pre-season training as one of four contenders to replace Tippett, along with Jenkins, McKernan and Lewis Johnston, Lynch now appears to have fallen by the wayside.
Johnston - who tellingly also will not play tomorrow night - also appears out of the running as Sanderson fields his best-available side in preparation for the premiership season opener against Essendon on March 22.
Sanderson said Lynch needed some game time with SANFL club Glenelg after being the Crows' sub in the past two weeks.

But he has made no secret of the fact he wants to field his best team against the red-hot Blues after slamming his players for having an attitude problem following their Cats nightmare.
"We've got plenty of room for improvement and we're running out of time," Sanderson said.
"We've got four main (training) sessions and one more practice match to get things right and play the way we want to play.
"We've been a bit rusty so we'll look to settle the team down this week, we'll pick almost our best 24 to make sure we're ready for round one.
"It's not do-or-die that we win this week but we've got to get back to playing some good footy, to start to play our way, it's important."
Adelaide has recalled five first-choice players in its 27-man squad, which will be trimmed to 24, for the 8.10pm clash.
Jared Petrenko (shoulder) and Sam Shaw (knee) have overcome injuries and will play their first games of the year while key onballer Rory Sloane, AFL Rising Star winner Daniel Talia and small goalsneak Ian Callinan have been added to the side which was hammered by the Cats.
The Crows have only two players on their injury list - running defenders Brodie Smith (collarbone) and Richard Tambling (back).
"We've pretty much got a fit list. Now, we need to get everyone into form," said Sanderson.
"We're not playing to the standard which is expected of this group and the players are aware of that.
"It would be nice to get the win this week but it's more important that I see a different attitude, that structurally we're a bit better organised and that we start to play our way."
