EMBATTLED Adelaide says it is embracing a pack mentality for 2013, abandoning the single Crow emblem on its alternative guernsey for away games.
In a bid to further encourage a team philosophy at the club, Adelaide's new jumper is titled Murder of Crows, borrowing the bird's unique collective noun.
It features the club's blue, red and gold colours starting on the side and morphing into flying Crows on the front.
The Crows sit on a white background, which was a requirement of the AFL.
Adelaide's home guernsey will remain the same, with the traditional red, gold and blue hoops.
The Crows' new jumper will be used in about five away matches next season, in which the standard tri-colours clash with the opposition's guernsey.
It was chosen in consultation with the playing group and the fans.
Other designs considered were last season's Big Crow jumper, featuring the club logo, and a Wide V, which would have incorporated a thicker band of blue and bands of red and gold.
Ace midfielder Rory Sloane described the new clash jumper as "awesome" and promoting a team ethos.
"As players, we love it," Sloane said.
"Rather than one Crow, there's a murder of Crows, which really does bring that pack mentality out in us."
The new jumper will be on sale at the club's store from 8am today.
